Being a regular Sunday to Sunday church visitor is not enough for a child of God to gather all that is needed to live a victorious life on Earth. Attending church regularly makes Christians meet one another to discuss more ways by which they can enter the Kingdom of God.
It is not the will of God for Christians to remain in the same level of their faith every year; this is why God allows temptations to come by their way. It should be noted that God only allows temptations to come when He knows that His children can overcome them. Daniel, Joseph and even Jesus Christ all passed through temptations and when they scaled through, their faith became stronger that it was before the tests.
