Jewish Interfaith Marriage Is A Great Thing

By Betty Schmidt

Marriage is a good thing. In most countries the legal age of marriage is 18 years. A man should leave his parents and be connected to a wife in a union of marriage. Marrying is something great. What is even greater is a Jewish interfaith marriage. That is because it brings together people from different backgrounds. That is the way that the world should be. Intermarrying is no longer the exception. It is becoming the order of the day in different parts of the world. Actually, intermarrying is associated with a number of benefits.

Crossing the religious line and marrying someone of another religion is something that should be appreciated by those who love progress. The purpose of religion is not to divide. It is to unite. People should not hate individuals of another religion. Actually, they should love them to the point where they can marry them. One does not have to be confined to the religious cocoon.

What matters most is love. Where there is love, the two people in question can marry each other. If there is no love, there is no need to take a relationship to the next level because it will certainly not last, and there will be a high chance of divorce. There is no need to spend on a wedding if love lacks.

In the modern day world, interfaith unions are the norm rather than the exception. Gone are the days when people only married members of their faith. The world has progressed much since humans started believing in religion. It is good to be religious but it is also great to embrace members of other faiths. That is true maturity and progress.

Individuals are not only crossing the religious divide. They are also crossing the racial divide. As a matter of fact, in the United States of America and in other countries, individuals are marrying people of other races. One can easily find a white man marrying a black woman. On the other hand, it is common for black men to marry Hispanic women.

Even in ancient times, there was intermarriage but it was at a low rate than is the case in the contemporary world. Nowadays, intermarriages are popular. That can be attributed to the power of the internet. Since the dawn of World Wide Web, it has been very easy for people from far flung places to interact.

Most interracial and interfaith marriages usually start online. The typical scenario involves an individual visiting a certain dating website, browsing through profiles, finding a suitable profile, initiating conversation, subsequent back and forth conversations, and finally two people start dating. Of course, one needs to have an account. One should register in a highly reputable website. Online research will make one to know reputable sites.

Marrying is part of human culture. There is no culture on earth that does not have the institution of marriage. Actually, this institution is the foundation of society. In ancient times, people used to marry. In modern times, individuals are still marrying. Religious figures and scholars usually encourage people to marry. That is because marrying makes it easy to succeed and increases happiness.
