New York Web Design & The Stats Regarding Apps

By Arthur Williams

Mobile apps enjoy ample usage, which is a given. For this reason, New York web design companies will continually build them for the various mobile devices they can be accessed from. What you may not know about apps in general is the litany of stats that come with them. If you're in the mood to learn about these seemingly simple programs you use on a regular basis, here are just a few of the aforementioned stats for your benefit.

To start off, did you know that 25 percent of apps downloaded aren't even opened? One of the reasons for this - and I am sure that any New York web design company will agree - has to do with the fact that most apps are free. What this means is that it's entirely plausible to download them without feeling bothered to boot them up. There are other stats to be aware of, though, and companies such as Avatar New York can tell you all about them.

It's also worth noting that a vast majority of people - around 90 percent or so - spend more time on apps than they do their mobile browsers. It's easy to see why, seeing as how apps are designed with more of a mobile focus, whereas websites cover a variety of platforms. Mobile browsers are functional, without question, but they don't always lead to better user experiences. Needless to say, this is where apps come into the fold.

TechCrunch published an article in June of last year, essentially stating that customers spend roughly 85 percent of their time on smartphones. Needless to say, this has led to an increase demand in apps across different interests. This goes far beyond games, as your local New York Internet marketing company will tell you. As a matter of fact, some of the most popular apps are social ones like Facebook and Instagram. Such a statistic is, for lack of better terms, head-turning.

When it comes to the stats regarding mobile apps, these are easily some of the most interesting. It's important to understand why apps are as popular as they are, in addition to the ones that seem to be the most prevalent. It's surprising to see just how much can be learned about these programs that we tend to not give much thought to. However, it speaks volumes about the usability that they will continue to see in the future.
